Excited to move

getting my blog lurking on for moving time, looking up decor ideas. We are going to move in with a friend into a two bedroom, so there will be a bit of integration of stuff. so I’m searching for ideas of how to arrange furniture( not actually having an apartment yet makes it more difficult to decide this haha) it’s more just day dreaming.

Ikea website is taking the controls right now. Mainly because so much of what we have is from Ikea so it’s just like just seeing our stuff rearranged in a different home.

I wish I had a billion dollars, and that ikea stuff was built better like how it was in the 80′s.

I want this 4 poster bed, but having fiberboard base doesn’t make me trust its study construction

this table

would look good with either of these lamps

in our new place we’re going to have a nice large brown leather couch of our roommates and our kivik sofa, I thought this cover would look nice on our sofa, not look dirty and make it go better with the brown leather

maybe a new lamp or two in the living room…

maybe some fabric to cover existing couch pillows

I want to cover the Poang chair we have but I dont like any of the ikea fabric for that so I’ll have to go elsewhere.

right now we have our tv on top of this dresser but in black fronts

I was thinking of stripping the black off the drawers and staining them, and painting the top or at least the outer edge white.
similar to this…
just an idea

I really want to be able to have enough space to have pattern pieces hanging up with pant hangers on a rod.

won’t get my hopes too high for a huge apartment…

I want to make this, seems easy enough, I just need some metal framing and nuts and bolts, wheel casters, and metal shelves or wood planks… project once we move!

ikea website had me very distracted, so I need to try this again with better planning..

Shramm Gin

Shramm Gin arrived today from Pemberton distillery http://www.pembertondistillery.ca/

Beautiful bottle! Their vodka is delicious so I can only assume the same for the gin until I try it tonight after work! Can not wait! Very exciting

Camera bag

I saw this picture on cool hunting, I forget who designed the bag, but I liked it, so I copied it and made one as close as I could with the budget I had. Next time I’ll try to make one with leathers like the expensive real one.

backpack #4

I’m getting better at them I think

I didn’t line this one, having a head cold makes it difficult to sew, with my face pointing down at my sewing machines, for periods of time.

but came out good anyway!

between the blue and the buckle there is a strip of reflective ribbing. its so small though I don’t know if it is really helpful..
