chocolate meringue

tasty cake.

the only thing i did different, was leave both cakes upright and layered them on top of each other. since i had no whipping cream and i was making this in a pinch.
i drizzled chocolate on it, and painted up some chocolate letters, put in the freezer to harden. yayayayy

Tiramisu

I made this a few days ago, and just got around to getting pictures onto this laptop I’m temporarily using.
I found this easy recipe for tiramisu, but I altered it a bit.
I made a lot more than that recipe.
I used chocolate covered espresso beans mashed up instead of espresso powder.
I used kahlua and I used some dark rum splashed on top.
blah blah
pix.

left over beans all mashed up

grating chocolate ontop

yuuummmmmy

next time I’d def use cream cheese cause it’s lots cheaper than mascarpone.

easter friday

I made a bear cake, based on a drawing the boyfriend did, with the leftover fondant and cupcakes.
he’s lumpy, but cute, and I made him some berries. which turned out better than him some might say.

berries!

here is his body that is hidden under that fondant shell

here he is in the fridge with his buddies waiting to be eaten. :O!

Easter cakes

Attempted bunny cake for easter.
starting with cupcakes of course, I used boxed cake batter cause I felt lazy.

roughly put into the shape i wanted for the cake stuck together with chocolate icing.

draped it in some rolled marshmallow fondant that i made.

rabbit kind of more so looks like a dog, but i tried for an easter feel…

coloured with food colouring and water.
I made another one and I still have fondant and cupcakes left over so I will be making even more I’m sure.

this is the other one it is horrifying..

valentines day

I jumped on this recipe for bouchons,

I didn’t follow directions and I use what I have.

Ingredients:
spray with non stick and flour for the timbale molds I sprayed and floured my muffin tin
3-1/2 ounces (3/4 cup) all purpose flour I used a mix of whole wheat flour and white, basically a 60%
1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon kosher salt I never measure out the amount of salt I just use the small spoon(not even close to a teaspoon) that’s in my salt pig
3 large eggs I used medium eggs
1-1/2 cups plus 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
24 tablespoons (12 ounces) unsalted vegan margarine melted and slightly warm
6 ounces vegan chocolate
Confectioners’ sugar

I just mixed it all together, in order of being found in the recipe, and then melted the chocolate a bit with the hot marg.

then after they cooled and they were flipped over i iced them with just an icing sugar with a bit of marg and water icing, just to make them fancy for the boyfriend.

they’re really rich in flavour and taste best warm. they’re chewy on the outside and very soft and cake like on the inside.
delicious!

yaay!
